U.S. Ski Team Heli-Skiing in New Zealand

Call it El Niño, the conditions in the Southern Hemisphere this year have been supreme. The snow gods paid a visit to New Zealand for both the men and the women, giving them the chance for some powder days and heli-skiing adventures. Thanks to trustees Steven Reid, Eric Resnick and more, for making this adventure possible. The Speed Unicorns—Laurenne Ross, Alice McKennis and Jackie Wiles—traveled to Mt. Cook for a shred session featuring faceshots galore, while the American Downhillers—Marco Sullivan, Steven Nyman, Andrew Weibrecht and Travis Ganong—enjoyed some freshies at Mt. Aspiring.

  • Hi Team – we are interested in using a portion of this video to promote doctors in coming to visit NZ. Could we use with credits?

  • Dear U.S Ski Team,

    where is your safety gear?!

No rucksack usually means no shovel, probe or airbag for that matter.

Didn't you guys lose two members due to an avalanche last year? I bet you'll be joining them very soon if you keep skiing recklessly.
